2016 Scion FR-S vs 2016 Subaru BRZ: Design

In design, the FR-S and the BRZ are impressively similar. They have identical interior and exterior dimensions, and they share the same wheels, tires, and more. However, there are some slight differences beyond the branding. For example, the front grille of the FR-S is slightly different than that of the BRZ: whereas the BRZ has a smiling look, the FR-S is more dominant and determined.

When it comes to performance, the FR-S and the BRZ are both powered by an impressive 2.0-liter Boxer engine that generates 200 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque, while delivering up to 30 miles per gallon with manual transmission. At 2,758 pounds, the FR-S is slightly lighter than the 2,764-pound BRZ, so its horsepower goes slightly further. In addition, some have noted that the BRZ tends to understeer at the limits, whereas the FR-S does this less.
