The Facts

The new tC comes standard with a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. In its six-speed manual or automatic transmission with paddle shifters, it can blast out 179 horsepower and 172 pounds of torque. Ventilated front disc brakes and solid discs in the back are complemented with brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, and smart stop technology. Traction control and vehicle stability use the MacPherson front struts and rear double-wishbone to create a smooth ride without losing the feel of the road.

 

The Result

Power windows, power locks, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, and engine immobilizer theft protection are only the beginning. The new tC also features Bluetooth connectivity with HD radio, AM/FM/CD, USB port with iPod compatibility, and auxiliary jack all through Pioneer speakers and integrated touchscreen display. Add to all of this an advanced system of head and knee airbags to protect driver and passenger as well as front and rear side curtain airbags.
